Just asking, but....
1) Brian Billick believes that the Dolphins should be reluctant to pursue Peyton Manning because he won't fit their offensive scheme. If this is true, is the braintrust in Miami braindead?
2) Major League Baseball is expanding to a 10-team playoff field. Good move?
3) If the Saints have to resort to franchising Drew Brees, won't the apparent resentment between them simply spiral out of control?
4) Does the winner of UNC/Duke Saturday night deserve a #1 seed?
5) Don't you feel bad for AJ Burnett? First, he gets shipped to baseball purgatory, Pittsburgh. Then, he gets a busted face while participating in a bunting drill. What next?
6) On the 50th anniversary of Wilt Chamberlain scoring 100 points (in Hershey, PA), is there any sporting accomplishment that tops it?
7) The NFL has moved their season opener to Wednesday night so it doesn't interfere with the President's speech at the Democratic Convention. You ok with that?
Fire away, XPS nation!
#1--I would be reluctant to get Manning any way, but if you did, then you set up a scheme around him.
ReplyDelete#2--Good move if they start everything a week or two earlier. Before you know it, they will be playing the World Series over Thanksgiving.
#3--I think there is a little resentment that the Saints did franchise Brees. I don't know why they just didn't pay him the money...he is worth it.
#4--Yes
#5--I don't feel sorry for any major league ball player who can't put down a bunt from a pitching machine.
#6--It is probably the greatest single game accomplishment. There are better records over a season, but no one will ever score 100 in a game again.
#7--Sure. Who cares when they play it. It's not like they have to play the Sunday before.
